Acoustics & Door Closers
The door is often the weakest point in an acoustic partition. Choosing the correct door type and hinge mechanism is crucial if soundproofing is your primary goal.
- Acoustic Performance: A frameless glass door leaves a small 2-3mm gap around its perimeter, reducing acoustic performance. If sound privacy is critical, we highly recommend upgrading to a Framed Glass Door or a Timber Door fitted with drop-seals.
- Hydraulic Self-Closing Hinges: Protect your investment. These premium hinges ensure the door closes smoothly and safely behind you without slamming, preserving the glass and maintaining office acoustics.
- Overpanels: If your ceiling is exceptionally high (typically above 2700mm), we will automatically design the door with a fixed glass overpanel above it to ensure the structural integrity and weight of the door leaf remain manageable.
