The Solution: Frameless Single Glazed Partitions With Acoustic Glazing

Glass at Work installed a frameless single glazed partition system using laminated acoustic glass — a specialist glazing that bonds two panes of glass together with an acoustic interlayer. This construction dampens sound vibrations as they pass through the glass, significantly reducing noise transfer between rooms without any visible difference to standard glazing.

The frameless design keeps sightlines clean and unobstructed, giving the meeting room a sleek, contemporary finish that complements the firm's professional image. A framed door with a frameless glass leaf completes the enclosure, providing easy access while maintaining the acoustic integrity of the partition.

Window film was also incorporated into the design, featuring an opal frost logo — allowing Nowell Meller Solicitors to display their branding directly on the glass. A solid band of film runs across the partition at mid-height, adding a further layer of visual privacy for seated occupants during client meetings, while the fitted band also serves as a DDA-compliant manifestation.
