Frequently Asked Questions

Yes. Once your layout is confirmed, a CAD drawing is produced so you can review the overall design and visualise the finished result before the glass is manufactured.

It shows the layout you've specified — room shape, door position and general configuration — so you and the team are aligned before manufacture starts. It's a design reference rather than a fully engineered manufacturing drawing.

Yes, the drawing stage is there for you to review the layout and request adjustments before the order goes into production.

The blinds hang permanently within the glass void and are tilted open and closed from that position.

Because they're sealed within the glass unit, integral blinds aren't exposed to dust in the same way as external blinds, which keeps maintenance minimal.

They're typically operated manually via a control knob fitted to the partition; specifics can be confirmed when you configure your project.

Yes, integral blinds sit in the cavity between the two panes of a double glazed unit, so they're an option on the double glazed range rather than single glazed.

Yes, manifestation film — from a simple frosted band to a full bespoke design — can be added to boardroom glazing for visual privacy.

Acoustic glass options are available and can meaningfully reduce sound transfer compared with standard glazing; for very high confidentiality requirements it's worth discussing the specific dB rating you need with the team.

Client Verdict

Trelleborg contracted with Work Junction to design and build a new meeting room facility within an open plan office. After taking initial measurements, they came back with a design which was ideal for Trelleborg. The full glass design (against one solid wall) is ergonomic, spacious and very pleasing on the eye. After the initial survey, the design, installation of rails and then installation of the glass panels took place very smoothly and efficiently. As Trelleborg wanted to keep full privacy, we went with an option to include blinds between two window panels. Final aspect was a laminate on the door, which gives the impression of a frosted appearance. If you didn’t know, you would think it was frosted! Overall we are very happy with the meeting room, affectionately being given the nick name of the 'Fish Bowl' and has become the number one meeting room of choice on our site!
